Hayat\u0131m\u0131z\u0131 kolayla\u015ft\u0131ran teknolojiler i\u00e7erisinde yer alan switch ya da a\u011f anahtarlar\u0131, dosya aktar\u0131m\u0131 ve ba\u011flant\u0131 kurma gibi i\u015flemlerin \u00e7ok daha h\u0131zl\u0131 bir \u015fekilde ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirilmesini sa\u011flamaktad\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Genellikle switchler \u00fczerinde RJ45 portlar bulunmaktad\u0131r ve bu portlar ba\u015fl\u0131ca Cat5, Cat6, Cat7 Ethernet kablolar\u0131n switchlere ba\u011flanmas\u0131n\u0131 elveri\u015fli k\u0131lar. Ancak depolama alan a\u011flar\u0131nda (SAN) kullan\u0131lan fiber optik switchler yayg\u0131n olarak Ethernet protokol\u00fcne g\u00f6re \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan switchlerden farkl\u0131 olarak Fiber Channel protokole g\u00f6re \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131rlar.
