Genel anlamda SAN, sunucu-depo alan\u0131, sunucu-sunucu ve dpo alan\u0131-depo alan\u0131 aras\u0131ndaki ba\u011flant\u0131y\u0131 sa\u011flayan bir yap\u0131 olarak \u00f6zetlenebilir. SAN topolojisi (FABRIC olarak da adland\u0131r\u0131l\u0131r), kullan\u0131c\u0131 cihazlar (end devices), depolama cihazlar\u0131, depolama birimleri ve switchlerden (a\u011f anahtarlar\u0131) olu\u015fmaktad\u0131r. SAN yap\u0131s\u0131 end device yani kullan\u0131c\u0131 cihazlar\u0131n depolama birimlerine blok seviyede ula\u015fmas\u0131na olanak sa\u011flar, bu sayede server gibi cihazlar SAN \u00fczerinden ba\u011fland\u0131klar\u0131 depolama birimlerini sanki kendi yerel diskleriymi\u015f gibi alg\u0131larlar. Bu durum uygulama alan\u0131nda pek \u00e7ok avantaj sa\u011flar.<\/p>\n<p>SAN yap\u0131s\u0131 sayesinde geni\u015f veri tabanlar\u0131na y\u00fcksek h\u0131zda ve d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck gecikmeyle ula\u015f\u0131labildi\u011fi i\u00e7in, online i\u015flemler, bankac\u0131l\u0131k, yayg\u0131n olarak sanalla\u015ft\u0131rman\u0131n kullan\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 veri merkezlerinde s\u0131kl\u0131kla kullan\u0131l\u0131r.<\/p>\n<h2><strong><em>SAN ile NAS aras\u0131ndaki fark nedir?<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>SAN yap\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 detayland\u0131rmadan \u00f6nce bu konuda en \u00e7ok sorulan soruyu yan\u0131tlayarak NAS ya da Network Attached Storage\u2019\u0131n ne oldu\u011funu a\u00e7\u0131klamak faydal\u0131 olacakt\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>NAS (Network Attached Storage), LAN a ba\u011fl\u0131 bir dosya depolama cihaz\u0131d\u0131r. Bu sistemde kullan\u0131c\u0131lar dosyalar\u0131n\u0131 a\u011f \u00fczerinden bir cihaz \u00fczerine depolayabilir ve istedikleri zaman kolay bir \u015fekilde ula\u015fabilirler. Buna kar\u015f\u0131n SAN, kullan\u0131c\u0131lara blok seviyesinde eri\u015fim sa\u011flayan ve pek \u00e7ok elemandan olu\u015fan bir a\u011f yap\u0131s\u0131d\u0131r. Bu bak\u0131mdan dosya depolamaktan ziyade serverlar\u0131n yerel disklerinin alternatifidir. SAN a\u011fa ba\u011fl\u0131 cihazlardan ziyade serverlar\u0131n kullan\u0131m\u0131 i\u00e7in kurulan bir a\u011f yap\u0131s\u0131d\u0131r. Dosyalar\u0131n yan\u0131 s\u0131ra i\u015fletim sistemi imajlar\u0131 ve program dosyalar\u0131 da bu yap\u0131 \u00fczerinde bulunabilir ve serverlar dahili bir fiziksel drive ihtiyac\u0131 hissetmeden \u00e7al\u0131\u015fabilirler.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>Fibre channel<\/h1>\n<p>SAN, Storage Area Network, yap\u0131s\u0131 dosya depolamaktan ziyade serverlar\u0131n yerel disklerinin i\u015flevlerini yerine getirerek onlar\u0131n yerini ald\u0131\u011f\u0131 i\u00e7in bu depolama birimleri \u00fczerinde sanal cihazlar\u0131n i\u015fletim sistemleri, yerel dosyalar\u0131 ve serverlar \u00fczerinde \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmakta olan servislerin executable dosyalar\u0131 bulunur. Dolay\u0131s\u0131yla SAN fabric \u00fczerindeki haberle\u015fmenin gecikmesinin ve h\u0131z\u0131n\u0131n neredeyse bir bilgisayar\u0131n ana kart\u0131 \u00fczerindeki haberle\u015fme kadar verimli olmas\u0131 gerekir. Bu sebeple de SAN yap\u0131s\u0131nda fiber optik haberle\u015fme i\u00e7in geli\u015ftirilmi\u015f Fibre Channel Protokol\u00fc (FC veya FCP) kullan\u0131l\u0131r. Bu protokol 1Gbps dan 128Gbps a kadar h\u0131zlar\u0131 destekleyebilir ve fiber optik haberle\u015fme \u00e7ok d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck latencylere (gecikme) olanak sa\u011flar. Fibre channel protokol\u00fc layer 2 de \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan bir haberle\u015fme protokol\u00fcd\u00fcr. Bu a\u00e7\u0131dan ele al\u0131nd\u0131\u011f\u0131nda TCP\/IP modelindeki ethernet protokol\u00fcn\u00fcn kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 olarak d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclebilir. Bu adapt\u00f6rler FC i\u00e7in \u00f6zel olarak tasarlanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r ve \u00fczerlerinde FC transceiverlar\u0131 i\u00e7in yuvalar bulunur. Bu yuvalara FC\u2019a uygun sfp form-fakt\u00f6r\u00fcndeki fiber transceiverlar tak\u0131l\u0131r ve bu sayede fiber optik ortamda haberle\u015fme sa\u011flan\u0131r. Bu sfp ler Ethernet protokol\u00fc \u00fczerinden \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan sfp\u2019lerden farkl\u0131d\u0131r. FC\u2019da en s\u0131k kullan\u0131lan bant geni\u015flikle <a href=\"https:\/\/sfpturkiye.com\/brocade-10g-single-mode\/brocade-uyumlu-8-gigabit-sfpplus-modul-8gbase-lx-lr-1310nm-10km-sm-lc-ddm\">8G<\/a> ve <a href=\"https:\/\/sfpturkiye.com\/brocade-10g-single-mode\/brocade-uyumlu-16-gigabit-sfpplus-modul-16gbase-lx-lr-1310nm-10km-sm-lc-ddm\">16G<\/a> dir. B\u00fcy\u00fck \u00e7apta ve h\u0131zl\u0131 eri\u015filmesi gereken verilerin depolanmas\u0131 i\u00e7in en s\u0131k kullan\u0131lan t\u00fcrdeki hard disklerdir.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00fcrekli eri\u015fim gerektirmeyen ancak uzun s\u00fcre saklanmas\u0131 gereken veriler i\u00e7in, \u00f6rne\u011fin yedekleme yapmak veya uzun s\u00fcreli ar\u015fivler olu\u015fturmak gibi, manyetik tapeler de kullan\u0131labilir.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Depolama cihaz\u0131:<\/h2>\n<p>Depolama cihaz\u0131, depolama birimlerini i\u00e7inde bar\u0131nd\u0131ran ve bu birimlere veri yaz\u0131l\u0131p okunmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flayan cihazd\u0131r. Bu \u015fekilde \u00e7e\u015fitli yedekleme y\u00f6ntemleri ile bilgiler birden fazla arraye da\u011f\u0131t\u0131l\u0131r ve sistemin baz\u0131 par\u00e7alar\u0131nda ar\u0131za meydana gelmesi halinde veri kayb\u0131 \u00f6nlenmi\u015f olur. Bunun yan\u0131nda verinin \u00e7e\u015fitli disklere da\u011f\u0131t\u0131larak depolanmas\u0131, verinin okunmas\u0131 s\u0131ras\u0131nda farkl\u0131 b\u00f6l\u00fcmlerin farkl\u0131 disklerden e\u015f zamanl\u0131 okunmas\u0131na olanak sa\u011flayarak okuma h\u0131z\u0131n\u0131 bir diskin sa\u011flad\u0131\u011f\u0131 maksimum okuma h\u0131z\u0131n\u0131n \u00fczerine \u00e7\u0131kartmaya olanak sa\u011flar.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Switchler (a\u011f anahtarlar\u0131):<\/h2>\n<p>SAN switchler i\u015flev olarak ethernet switchleri ile ayn\u0131 i\u015flevi g\u00f6r\u00fcrler ancak FC protokol\u00fc ile \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131rlar. Ayr\u0131ca SAN switchler, a\u011fa ba\u011fl\u0131 cihazlar aras\u0131ndaki fibre channel trafi\u011finin y\u00f6netilmesini de sa\u011flarlar.\u00a0 FC networklerde y\u00f6nlendirme i\u00e7in worldwide node name (WWNN), ve worldwide port number (WWPN) kullanl\u0131r, ancak switchli bir FC fabricte bu adreslerin yan\u0131 s\u0131ra her port i\u00e7in atanm\u0131\u015f 24 bitten olu\u015fan bir adres de kullan\u0131lmaktad\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>HBA ve U\u00e7 Cihazlar:<\/h2>\n<p>Bir veri merkezindeki server ve benzeri cihazlar\u0131n SAN la haberle\u015febilmeleri i\u00e7in \u201cHost Bus Adaptor\u201d ad\u0131 verilen bir NIC\u2019e sahip olmalar\u0131 gerekir. Bu network kart\u0131 sayesinde cihazlar FC protokol\u00fcn\u00fc kullanarak depolama a\u011f\u0131na ba\u011flan\u0131rlar ve bu a\u011f \u00fczerindeki depolama birimlerine blok seviyesinde eri\u015fime sahip olurlar. Depolama alanlar\u0131n\u0131 kendi yerel diskleriymi\u015f gibi alg\u0131larlar ve bu alanlarda veri depolayabilirler. Veri taban\u0131na eri\u015febilirler ve \u00fczerlerinde \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan sanalla\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015f makineleri bu diskler \u00fczerinde \u00e7al\u0131\u015ft\u0131rabilirler.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Tape Library (ekstra)<\/h2>\n<p>Verileri saklama birimlerinden biri olan manyetik tape s\u00fcr\u00fcc\u00fclerin kullan\u0131m alan\u0131na g\u00f6re baz\u0131 avantajlar\u0131 vard\u0131r. Manyetik tepe s\u00fcr\u00fcc\u00fcleri, depolama alan\u0131 ba\u015f\u0131na maliyetleri HDD lere \u00e7ok daha d\u00fc\u015f\u00fckt\u00fcr ve fiziksel d\u0131\u015f etkenlere daha dayan\u0131kl\u0131d\u0131rlar.<\/p>\n<p>Ancak veriler yaln\u0131zca yaz\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 s\u0131ra ile okunabildi\u011fi i\u00e7in rastgele bir veri par\u00e7as\u0131na ula\u015fmak baz\u0131 durumlarda \u00e7ok uzun zaman alabilir. Ayn\u0131 zamanda bu s\u00fcr\u00fcc\u00fclere veri yazmakta kullan\u0131lan cihazlar\u0131n maliyeti de olduk\u00e7a y\u00fcksektir. Bu sebeple tape library sistemi yaln\u0131zca baz\u0131 durumlarda kullan\u0131ma uygundur.<\/p>\n<p>Bu tarz bir sisteme yat\u0131r\u0131m yapmak ancak birka\u00e7 petabayt\u0131n \u00fczerinde veri depolanacak ise ekonomik olarak mant\u0131kl\u0131 hale gelmektedir. Sistem yedeklemeleri, veri taban\u0131 yedeklemeleri, uzun s\u00fcreli ar\u015fivler gibi s\u0131k ula\u015f\u0131lmas\u0131 gerekmeyen ve uzun s\u00fcre saklanmas\u0131 gereken veriler i\u00e7in kullan\u0131l\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Bu sistemin en yayg\u0131n kullan\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 durumlar ise uzak lokasyonda, offline yedeklemelerdir. Veri merkezinde saklanacak olan veriler manyetik tapeler yaz\u0131ld\u0131ktan sonra bu tapeler fiziksel olarak uzak bir lokasyona ta\u015f\u0131n\u0131r ve hem do\u011fal afet hem de siber sald\u0131r\u0131 durumlar\u0131nda g\u00fcvenli bir yedekleme yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015f olur.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>SAN\u2019\u0131n avantajlar\u0131<\/h1>\n<p><strong><em>Esneklik:<\/em><\/strong> SAN, Storage Area Network yap\u0131s\u0131nda b\u00fct\u00fcn aktif cihazlar merkezi bir depolama birimini kulland\u0131klar\u0131 i\u00e7in cihazlar aras\u0131nda kapasitenin payla\u015f\u0131m\u0131 olduk\u00e7a kolayd\u0131r. Pek \u00e7ok s\u00fcr\u00fcc\u00fc \u00fczerine, yedekli olarak da\u011f\u0131t\u0131lmas\u0131yla olu\u015fan yap\u0131 sistem \u00fczerindeki pek \u00e7ok single point of failure\u2019\u0131 ortadan kald\u0131rm\u0131\u015f olur.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Scalability:<\/em><\/strong> SAN yap\u0131s\u0131nda depolama kapasitesini b\u00fcy\u00fctmek yerel disklere k\u0131yasla \u00e7ok daha kolayd\u0131r. SAN depolama cihazlar\u0131 genel prensip olarak kolayca kapasiteleri art\u0131r\u0131labilecek \u015fekilde tasarlanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Depolama kapasitesi artt\u0131r\u0131lmak istendi\u011fi durumda cihaza yeni bir disk array eklenerek kapasite kolayl\u0131kla artt\u0131r\u0131labilir. Bunu yan\u0131nda sisteme eklenebilecek depolama cihaz\u0131 say\u0131s\u0131nda da s\u0131n\u0131r yoktur.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Migration Kolayl\u0131\u011f\u0131<\/em>:<\/strong> B\u00fct\u00fcn u\u00e7 cihazlar ayn\u0131 depolama birimleri \u00fczerinde \u00e7al\u0131\u015ft\u0131klar\u0131 i\u00e7in, bir hizmet veya sanalla\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015f makine bir serverdan ba\u015fka bir servera aktar\u0131lmak istendi\u011finde veri ta\u015f\u0131nmas\u0131na gerek yoktur. B\u00fct\u00fcn veriler merkezi olarak depoland\u0131\u011f\u0131 i\u00e7in y\u00f6netim taraf\u0131nda kolayl\u0131k sa\u011flad\u0131\u011f\u0131 gibi yedeklilik ve \u00f6l\u00e7eklenebilirlik konusunda da olduk\u00e7a avantajl\u0131 bir yap\u0131d\u0131r.
